Building Partnerships in the Delaware Valley: A Visit to Philadelphia

HomeAid’s Chief Expansion Officer, Robin Arnett, and I had the pleasure of hosting our second recruitment event for HomeAid Delaware Valley at Toll Brothers' corporate headquarters. This gathering marked an important milestone in our efforts to expand HomeAid's work into new regions, and the energy in the room was palpable.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Family Promise Montco, PA

We were thrilled to welcome Marsha Eichleberger, Executive Director of Family Promise Montco, PA, who joined us to talk about the incredible work that Family Promise is doing in Montgomery County. Marsha’s insight into their programs for families facing homelessness was inspiring, and we are excited about the potential to collaborate with Family Promise in the future.

Learning from Local Leaders: Site Visits with Covenant House Philadelphia and Small Things

Robin and I also took the opportunity to visit two exceptional organizations: Covenant House Philadelphia and Small Things. Covenant House’s comprehensive programs for youth experiencing homelessness, along with their focus on case management and education, align closely with HomeAid’s mission. Small Things, with its robust food and housing services, was another organization we were eager to learn from. Our site visits gave us valuable insights into their work and potential areas for future partnerships.

The Road Ahead: Building Community and Partnerships

The trip to Philadelphia was not just about expanding HomeAid’s footprint in the Delaware Valley, it was about deepening connections with those who are already doing great work in the region. The potential for impactful collaborations with organizations like Family Promise, Covenant House Philadelphia, and Small Things will help us strengthen the collective impact we can have on homelessness in the area.

We are incredibly excited about the next steps in establishing HomeAid Delaware Valley and continuing to build partnerships that will pave the way for a brighter, more stable future for families in need. Stay tuned as we continue to expand our reach and bring HomeAid’s mission to even more communities across the country. Together, we’re
working toward a future without homelessness.
