Peter Simons has had an impressive career with a significant impact on the housing and homebuilding industry, particularly through his extensive involvement with HomeAid America and HomeAid Colorado. Here's a summary of his notable contributions and experiences:

Leadership at HomeAid America:

Peter Simons served as the CEO of HomeAid America, a non-profit organization that focuses on building and renovating housing facilities for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

His tenure as HomeAid America’s CEO spanned seven critical years of growth and rebuilding from 2013 to 2019, showcasing a deep commitment to the organization's mission following the great recession. This included strengthening the board of directors through strategic partnerships and creating financial stability for the organization.

Volunteer Involvement with HomeAid Colorado:

Even before his role as CEO of HomeAid America, Peter actively volunteered for HomeAid Colorado, the local affiliate of HomeAid America.

He served on the affiliate's Board of Directors for an impressive nine years, holding the position of President twice.

Additionally, Peter contributed as a Builder Captain on HomeAid projects, demonstrating hands-on involvement in the organization's initiatives.

After retiring from his role as CEO for HomeAid America, Peter rejoined the board of directors of HomeAid Colorado and actively served the last 4 years in various leadership positions including also serving on the Audit Committee for HomeAid America.

“Peter Simons has shared so much of himself with HomeAid Colorado over the years. He shared his talent and expertise as a Builder Captain with Beazer Homes on a project in Arvada and also Colorado Springs, he shared his leadership during two terms on the HomeAid Board and twice as Board Chair, he shared his humor as a model for the HomeAid Fashion Show, hamming it up on the runway. His generous nature kept him engaged in all fundraising events, groundbreakings, and dedications. Although we will miss him at the board meetings, he will always be a big part of the HomeAid community,” Cindy Bell, HomeAid Colorado Executive Director.

National Contributions:

Peter collaborated with HomeAid America staff on special projects with a national focus, including the establishment of the WORKS program and the launching of six new affiliates including HomeAid Hawaii, HomeAid Southern Nevada, HomeAid Minnesota, HomeAid Utah, HomeAid Austin, HomeAid Phoenix and HomeAid Orlando.

Before joining HomeAid America in March 2013, Peter was the founder and leader of Simons Consulting Group (SCG) for six years. SCG specialized in advising clients on high-level strategic planning, market positioning, organizational structure, and related issues.
