Laura McKenna has 30 years of experience as a nonprofit leader, specializing in project management, program development, fundraising and grant writing. Previous to her role at HomeAid America, Laura served as the Executive Director of HomeAid Colorado for 16 years. During her tenure at the Colorado chapter, Laura managed the development of 56 housing projects that added nearly 400 beds to give homeless families and individuals a place to rebuild their lives. She has previously served on the HomeAid America Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Laura’s current role is to develop strategic partnerships with builders and suppliers to support our growing pipeline of projects as well as work with foundations and corporate donors to support the work of existing chapters and chapter expansion efforts across the country. Laura earned her Master’s in Organizational Communication from Southern Illinois University and a BA in Communication from Truman State University.
