Service Provider Partners

HomeAid builds and renovates housing on behalf of other community based nonprofit service providers serving those experiencing homelessness by leveraging the resources of the home building community and its corporate partners. We are honored to work with so many wonderful organizations that do the hard work of helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness on their path to independence.

Housing is at the core of HomeAid’s mission. HomeAid pairs vetted community-based non-profit organizations with builders, general contractors, trade partners, suppliers, and consultants who renovate or build facilities and donate 30 to 100% of all costs. Our “Builder Captains” and teams do what they do best: efficiently and beautifully build or renovate housing facilities from emergency shelter, transitional/bridge/interim, permanent supportive, and affordable housing. In the end, these projects are energy efficient and durable, resolve any existing safety issues, and increase program space.

Residents of these renovated or newly built facilities report that the beauty of the homes is something they have never experienced before in their lives. The new or renovated surroundings give them a sense of pride and they feel less stressed. HomeAid renovation and construction projects are an important part of helping families and individuals end their homelessness.

In addition to the direct impact on those experiencing homelessness, these projects also increase the sustainability of the local non-profit safety net. HomeAid’s non-profit partners often do not have the funding, expertise, or staff time to undertake these projects. Rather than redirect resources from programs that help their residents on their path to independence, HomeAid can provide upgrades at a great discount to the service provider—allowing them to invest in services rather than building expenses.
