The Strober Organization Partners with HomeAid through a $450,000 Donation for Chapter Expansion on the East Coast

Funds Support HomeAid's Growth Initiatives in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - June 19, 2006 - HomeAid today announced a new partnership with the Strober Organization, the sixth-largest professional building materials dealer in the U.S. Strober will make a $450,000 multi-year contribution in support of HomeAid's chapter expansion efforts along the East Coast. The Strober donation will facilitate HomeAid's entry into new communities in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states while strengthening its ability to provide transitional housing for the temporarily homeless in these areas.

Strober's strong presence along the eastern seaboard, in conjunction with its commitment to the communities in which it operates, make it a natural fit to help HomeAid strategically expand its chapter base on the East Coast, furthering the organization's mission of building dignified homes where families and individuals can rebuild their lives.

"One of our primary themes at Strober is ‘Building for Growth' -- not only the growth of our business, but the growth of the communities in which we operate," said Frederick M. Marino, chairman and CEO of the Strober Organization. "Transitional housing strengthens our communities by providing an opportunity for the temporarily homeless to get back on their feet. Our work with HomeAid truly reflects our desire to give something back to the communities in which we work and live." "With a solid foundation of chapters in the West and Midwest, growing our presence beyond our current footprint in the East is a high priority for us, and Strober's very generous contribution will help create numerous new chapters that are currently in development," said Genette Eaton, chief executive officer of HomeAid. "Together, by creating these new chapters, HomeAid and Strober will ultimately help thousands of individuals who need a second chance in life."
