HomeAid Orange County's LimeLight Gala (Formerly Rainbow of Hope Ball)
Since 2003, HomeAid Orange County has hosted this annual black-tie awards and dinner gala (formerly known as the Rainbow of Hope Ball) to honor the building industry and its associates for their contributions in support of Orange County's homeless men, women and children. In 2007, the event changed its signature name to "LimeLight" - a gourmet wine pairing gala. "LimeLight" was given its name to define the essence of the event created to honor the work of committed companies and individuals that give unselfishly to aid homeless men, women and children residing throughout Orange County.With an annual attendance of nearly 500 of Orange County's elite philanthropists, and distinguished building industry professionals, the event boasts a live and silent auction, awards, entertainment and a black-tie dinner. Chaired by local building industry notables, the event garners nearly $300,000 a year to benefit HomeAid Orange County's shelter development program, the Building Industry Association of Southern California's charitable outreach.
Key to the fundraising success of this event are industry sponsors. In recent years, sponsors have included notables such as Builder & Developer Magazine; Fieldstone Communities, Inc., First American Title Company, Lennar Homes/Greystone Homes, Oltmans Construction Company, Orange County Association of Realtors, Shea Homes, The Irvine Company, Valley Building Materials, William Lyon Homes and many others.
