Carrie, Colorado

I ended up being a single mom with two new ones and a tremendous amount of expenses, and basically ended up homeless. With rent and day care for two babies, there was no way that my salary could ever cover it all. The idea was for me to take advantage of transitional housing and go to school full time.

The people who helped me really wanted me to start over, and they really wanted me to be independent. Getting myself back on my feet, school's the only answer and really is what this facility is so perfect for.

Now, school is the most important thing, probably for dental hygiene or ultrasound technician. That'll be something that will be important financially. I think what the final outcome is a good, healthy community. That's the bottom line.
