HomeAid Sacramento1536 Eureka RoadRoseville, CA 95661-3055 From babies to vets, HomeAid Sacramento is changing lives On any given day, there are about 360,000 people who are homeless in the State of California, and about 37 percent of the homeless are families. HomeAid Sacramento has been making great strides toward helping the homeless in our state capital. At a recent meeting of local officials, homeless and housing advocates, and representatives of the building industry, Governor Gray Davis stated that "Californians can no longer afford to avert their eyes to the problem of homelessness." HomeAid Sacramento couldn't agree more. HomeAid Sacramento is a non-profit charitable organization formed in 1996 by the Building Industry of Superior California. Our mission is to serve the temporarily homeless by expanding a care provider's facility through remodeling or new construction. HomeAid Sacramento builds shelters for a diverse homeless population, from babies to families to veterans. The Children's Receiving Home provides emergency care for homeless children deprived of parental care through abuse or neglect, and we just embarked on one of our most ambitious projects to date, Phase II of the Sacramento Veterans Resource Center (SVRC). HomeAid Sacramento is continually working to give individuals and families the opportunity for a better life. Real People. Real Results. "The Children's Receiving Home is a tremendous facility for children who are in a very traumatic situation. This project has been a perfect match with HomeAid's mission and a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of a group of kids who need it most." - Bruce Craig, President, HomeAid Sacramento/President, Pacific Mar Co "The passion and leadership of the team at the Sacramento Veterans Resource Center is what motivated me to become involved in reforming and rebuilding the lives of fellow veterans. The addition of the wing provided by HomeAid Sacramento will help us to more effectively serve other homeless veterans in need." - Neal McAuliffe, Program Supervisor, former resident and former homeless veteran |
